The Cabins were built in 1963, as part of a Vandré Town Hall initiative to establish a holiday resort.
It was subsequently abandoned and then the whole site purchased as part of an ambitious and brave family project. Over the last decade:
- Each of the 12 small houses was refurbished one by one for seasonal rental
- Sports facilities were set up around the lake
- A previously neglected restaurant was opened for business
- Undisturbed plots were been sold to individuals to build wooden chalets, creating a harmonious surrounding.
That is how the "Jardins de Vandré" site was born. And then 2020 happened... The site was finished. The family behind the initiative headed off to take on new projects and challenges.
2021: a new owner acquires the huts and embarks on the adventure, he welcomes you for your "nature escapes"!
